La gente lo tiene en fajos porque aqu\u00ed a nadie le gustan las monedas. Aqu\u00ed el dinero es papel. Como un peri\u00f3dico o una novela. Hay pa\u00edses donde su calidad es mala porque, en lugar de utilizar pulpa de algod\u00f3n o lino para hacer el papel, se utiliza pulpa de madera, muy quebradiza cuando se dobla en exceso o pasa a trav\u00e9s de demasiadas manos: manos grasientas, sucias, mojadas, sudorosas&#8230; Manos \u00e1vidas, avariciosas, que cuentan una y otra vez, desconfiadas, inseguras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En pa\u00edses como Cuba, uno puede ver el efecto de diferentes lecturas en los libros de segunda mano, cuyo texto en muchas p\u00e1ginas ya no puede leerse porque casi ha desaparecido, borrado por la avalancha de sucesivos pulgares de lectores con gafas mal graduadas o con la vista demasiado fatigada. Tambi\u00e9n el dinero puede llegar a borrarse y su valor ya solo se recuerda por el color. Eso, por ejemplo, me sucedi\u00f3 en mi primer viaje a Gambi<strong>a<\/strong>, cuando al cambiar euros por dalasis me dieron paquetes de dinero ciclostilado, cantidades ingentes por 10 billetes de cincuenta euros, que era todo lo que ten\u00eda en aquel momento. La mayor\u00eda de aquellos billetes, producto de una devaluaci\u00f3n que hab\u00eda reducido su ya de por s\u00ed rid\u00edculo valor, hab\u00eda que interpretarlos, como si fueran cuadros suprematistas. Aun as\u00ed, a la gente le gustaba exhibirlos, agitarlos, contarlos&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\"
